What the difference?  No really….I find that the majority of my studying is in fact doing homework for tomorrows class.  I know a few people that study all the time!!!  Like no kidding, they breathe studying.  They are always in the library and im not knocking them for it.  More power to ya!!!  But are they studying or doing homework….Is there a difference.  I think so.  But it’s somewhat confusing. 

Studying is defined according to an online dictionary as The pursuit of knowledge, as by reading, observation, or research.  This is what I do all the time by reading different articles and researching things that interest me.  But when it comes to classes I just do the assignments assigned and that’s it.  Not really pursuing knowledge earnestly for that specific class just to get a decent grade.  I find that my interest in a class and my desire to learn more about that subject is peaked and strengthen before or after I have taken that course…never during lol.  So my question to you today is what is the difference between doing homework and studying?

Ok this is bad, really bad. I thought when I left Chicago I would never, ever have to deal with these things again. As a child me and these pests had a functioning relationship. It was you don’t mess with me and I won’t mess with you, kinda deal and everything was kosher. But as soon as I left Chicago in 2003 it was see ya baitches lol. I think I did a lil victory dance lol. I come to Minnesota and there was not a one in sight. I have been living free of these things for almost 5 years.

Last year I even lived in own apartment and was weary of that because it looked like a run down place that could possibly house my old friends from Chicago, luckily it was ‘friend’ free lol. Now I hear my old apartment has bedbugs. Some of my friends live there now and I was tempted to stay over for a night, I decided to and after about 5 minutes I felt something on my arm and I said NO THANK YOU lol…. Needless to say I left not too long after that.

This year I live in the dorms, and I thought everything was good. Close to classes and the cafeteria, the bank is in walking distance, don’t have to worry about bills every week….dorm life is the easy life. BUT and O there is a big BUT!!!!! One thing that never crossed my mind was that maybe, just maybe the dorms may have an infestation of ROACHES!!!!! WTF!!!!!!!!

Never would have imagined this ****. Of all the places, in a dorm where many people, students live, eat, sleep, etc…. Now at first I was like….O that’s just one baby roach, its nothing. But in my blindness it didn’t appear to me that in order to have a baby –there has to be a dad and mom roach getting it on somewhere, and not only that there has to be many brothers and sister and not only that those brothers and sister will do the nasty with each other and produce more baby roaches that will in turn make hundreds of thousands of roaches!!!!!! ARRGGG…this all came to me tonight as I was attempting to study and I seen not one but 3 big daddy roaches pop out of no where.

This is not cool and not sanitary may I add. Im paying all of this money to live in this dorm and this is the condition it is in. This **** is ghetto….never would have thought I would be saying that about St. Cloud…..

A few months ago I was impressed with the concept of being a part of youtube.  The whole idea of being on a platform wherein people could see me and have a slice of my life…it was enticing.  At first it was great, making videos reading peoples response, it was timely for me. But the fact is I’m boring.  Soo soo boring.  I have nothing special going on in my life.  And with that I found myself with no ideas for videos, nothing.  Thus with every video I would have to work extra hard to think of an idea for a video, but with nothing going on in my life you can only imagine how far that got me……NO WHERE!!!!  Some people make it look soo easy.  Many people do actually but in talking to some of these youtubers I was told it takes a lot of work.  Too much work for me lol.  O I failed to mention that Im lazy lol.  Being boring and lazy is a bad combo lol.

In the few months that I was a part of youtube I had some success.  I hit over 100 subscribers, over 60 views per video, and even was a part of a collaboration channel (that I was a part of for a good 2 weeks, terrible!!!).  But recently I have been talking with a semi-famous guy on youtube and he really wants me to get back on, or at least put some of my old videos up.  Ive been given it some thought and really not quite sure.  I know with everything, it takes persistence, much like me writing a new blog every other day (crossing fingers).  But Im not quite sure I have it in me.  I have learned, with a lot everything in life, its not what you know (or in this case what you do) it’s know you know.

Youtube has its perks but also its also has its uglies (that’s not a word, shocking).  Some people can be rude, very rude and ignorant.  It was and is sad to see a person pouring out about their lives, or there situation and some faceless person making a derogatory statement to them. Or someone decides to belittle another person because of whatever reason just to get a kick. That upsets me to no end and I had a few negative comments myself but I guess it comes with the territory but it still doesn’t make it right. 

Anyway………to conclude this thing, Im really not sure but then again it would be nice to get back on that horse, making videos becoming famous and what not but man it takes work..    

Ok first of all let me start by saying I am MAD AS HELL!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!  Now that, that’s said allow me to continue.  As you know Congress has decided to pass a more than $800,000,000,000 (looks scary doesn’t it), to bailout banks and other such companies around the world from complete and utter failure.  First, this bill just two weeks ago failed to pass in the House of Representatives and now its passed 263-171.  So why the change of heart??  I really have no idea but all I know is printing that much money all at one time is dangerous and in fact creating more harm than good.  I’m no Economic major but something smells and fells not so right about this…..  I mean just days ago when this bailout was being reconsidered Congress had to shut down its webpage due to sooo many emails in disagreement of this passage.  When we do have enough will power to actually talk to these bastards they still ignore us!!!  It’s laughable that many of them will then, in just a few weeks, ask for our votes on November 4!!!!!  But that’s the state of affairs here in America. 

When this bailout was just in its infancy, when we are up in arms about the bailout of Fannie and Freddie Mac, which is now WEAK SAUCE compared to this bailout, I was asking everyone what they thought about it.  Even in one of my progressive classes I asked about and my professor seemed indifferent about and carried on about here lecture as if nothing was going on. And just last Thursday when it was evident that congress was going to vote in favor of it, she was preaching up a storm.  Maybe it was my sense that, we had time and surely the American people would not stand for this foolish, and for sure Congress would give an ear to the people……man I was wrong, I was dead wrong.

 I just do not understand if we loan all of this money to these financial institutions how far is it away from our demise?  If we are truly in debt from this god forsaken war on terror then how in hell do we have money for this ****ing bailout!!!!  And not only that, why are we bailing out these places, they did things they weren’t suppose to do, they ****ed up and now they go out of business…..right.  Isn’t that the way it goes….well not for the true American.  This whole thing is jacked up because the truth is this is going to affect everyone!!  Granny Barb, Papa Sam, Aunt Susie, Uncle Mark and the like.  EVERYONE!!!  Woe until the youth and elderly this day.  I really have no idea what this means for me as a college student.  I know for a fact loans will dry up and there is a possibility of me and so many of my friends will be out of school.  This is going to effect a whole generation….my generation.  What the crap!!!  Why us!!!  What the hell did we do but be born by you incompetent, greedy bastards!!!!  ARGGGG!!!!  This pisses me off to no end.  And now the waiting game starts.  Who will be the first to drop by the way side.       

Today I am excited and motivated for in just a few months I will hopefully being a greek!!!!  Since last year I have been working with a group of brothers on campus to bring the ___________ fraternity to St. Cloud State University.  It is one of the oldest black frats in the nation and the world.  Being in an all white school like SCSU this is huge news for the University and me because Im apart of it!!!!  Seeing that the we will be starting this fraternity from scratch will be the founding member which is HUGE!!!  People that will be a part of this frat years down the line will know my and all the other brothers names.  Not only that we will be making history on campus, in Minnesota, in the U.S. and the world!  Im really speechless.  Although its not official I know it will happen, it has to happen. 

I would be the first in my family to be a part of anything like this, Ernest Langston in a Fraternity, man that has a nice ring to it….on top of that being a _______!!!!  Life is going good, I knew this was going to be a good year.  Everything that Im doing, President of ASIA, CD Chair for SGA, etc. all is like nothing now, Im about to be a brother, a ­­­________ brother.   I can’t really tell you the name of this Fraternity because Im not sure what the policy is concerning that, but one thing is for sure, Im going to be a part of it….I HAVE IT.  I was born a ______.  Like the brothers say “You not made a _____, your born one”.  Well that all I have for now, Ive done two post in two days…that’s pretty darn good.  Alright people….until next time!!!!
